Sonni Reading Project
Listen on:
About us
and our reading project
Growing up we had family and extended family who poured into our lives, in one form or another. One of our aunts, Evelyn, read to us a lot. She didn’t just read, though. She performed the story she was telling us. We believe that her dedication to early childhood learning gave us an edge in life. Hearing stories that piqued our imagination gave us courage and ambition, forming the women we are today. We have read to our own children, nephews, nieces and grandchildren over the years. But, in the midst of a pandemic, two sisters decided to share this joy of stories and reading with children everywhere!
“Our hope is that a busy parent, grandparent, babysitter or teacher will click on our podcast or video…and let us do the reading.”

“Our two year old doesn’t talk well yet. But he was walking around the house repeating the “Hee Haw” line in the Wonkey Donkey, after hearing you read it.”
